Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Rung mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Rung is an AI-powered nursing career companion that provides the following services:

• Nursing job search and discovery across multiple sources
• AI-assisted resume generation and optimization
• AI-assisted cover letter writing
• AI-powered interview preparation
• AI career strategy guidance
• Job match analysis
• Follow-up email drafting
• SOAR (Situation, Objective, Action, Result) workshop
• Salary intelligence and market data
• Credential tracking and ROI analysis

Rung is a career preparation tool. Rung does not submit job applications on your behalf. All applications must be submitted directly by you to the employer or through the employer's designated application process.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using either:

• Email address and password, or
• Apple Sign-In

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 17 years of age to create an account and use the App.

4. Subscription Terms

Rung offers a premium subscription ("Rung Premium") with the following tiers:

4.1. Payment and Billing

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.

4.2. Auto-Renewal

Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the cost of the chosen plan.

4.3. Managing Your Subscription

Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device after purchase.

4.4. Free Trial

The Weekly plan includes a 3-day free trial. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when a subscription to Rung Premium is purchased.

4.5. Refunds

Refunds are processed by Apple per their refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Consumable Purchases

In addition to subscriptions, Rung offers the following one-time consumable purchases:

Consumable purchases are non-refundable once the associated AI feature has been used. Unused consumables remain available in your account indefinitely.

6. AI Features

Rung's AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude AI technology. By using AI features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• AI-assisted, not AI-generated: Rung's AI features are designed to assist you in creating professional content. You maintain authorship and ownership of all content you create with AI assistance. The final content reflects your professional experience, qualifications, and voice.
• Accuracy and verification: AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or suggestions that do not accurately reflect your experience. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it. Do not submit any AI-assisted content to employers without thorough personal review.
• Consent required: AI features require your explicit consent before any of your data is sent to Anthropic for processing. You may grant or withdraw this consent at any time in the App's settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is processed.
• No auto-apply: Rung does not automatically submit job applications, resumes, cover letters, or any other content to employers on your behalf. All submissions to employers are initiated solely by you.
• No employment guarantee: Rung does not guarantee that using AI features will result in job interviews, job offers, or employment. AI-generated suggestions are tools to support your job search, not guarantees of outcomes.

7. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or provide through the App, including resumes, cover letters, interview responses, and profile information ("User Content").

By using the App, you grant Rung a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's features to you (such as generating AI suggestions, storing your documents, and displaying your information within the App). This license ends when you delete your account.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content. We do not use your User Content for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the App's features to you.

8. Acceptable Use

When using Rung, you agree not to:

• Fabricate credentials: Do not use AI features to create false credentials, certifications, licenses, or work experience. Misrepresenting your qualifications to employers may have legal consequences.
• Misrepresent identity: Do not create resumes or professional documents for individuals other than yourself without their explicit authorization.
• Abuse AI features: Do not use AI features for purposes unrelated to nursing career preparation, or attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract the underlying AI model.
• Violate laws: Do not use the App in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.
• Interfere with the service: Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, its servers, or any connected systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Rung is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated content, job listings, salary data, or market information.
• In no event shall Rung, its creators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
• Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rung, its creators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
